May be you are right. But I think if they will charge more on passengers going to Tokyo they wont have their plane full. They are not alone in the market. There all the Asian carriers which offer very cheap fares to Europe or middle east. Plus you have Etihad and Qatar starting flights to narita too; so I would expect fares to go down not up. These are my thoughts. a round trip ticket from Cairo to Narita is 785USD including all taxes. Business class is from 2000USD.

Its really strange, now Emirates offers a very cheap fare from Tokyo haneda to Europe and north africa; 62.000yen without tax. I hope to see something like this when they start flights from NRT.
