Am I the only one that appreciates the ambiguity in the rules?
Someone *trying* to save a seat isn't really a problem. You just need to be willing to tell someone that you are taking the open seats unless the seat being held has a person in the bathroom.
"This may be uncomfortable for you, but we are going to take those seats, and the person you are waiting for will be sitting somewhere else."
I realize many personality types would prefer to avoid this type of conflict. In which case, the seat saver is rewarded for their efforts.
I'm personally fine with people saving seats, but I can appreciate the new wrinkle that paid-for EB presents. If you are paying for the privilege, you'll probably be more likely to assert your interests.
