yes i have spoken to the airline. they keep coming back with "she has enough time to change her passport." but it was my mistake. She won't be changing her name. Now i have to ask her to try to change her passport to a name she won't have? Also, she won't have the documentation to change it unless she does a lot of leg work.
she was told (the bride) that she just has to bring a marriage license to the airport and it wont be a problem. I never trust "it won't be a problem." I think it always ends up a problem. I don't want to put them through this headache on their honeymoon.
so i am in the midst of trying to take this up with a higher authority at the airlines. I was just asking for advice. I am now confused by all the posts. Some say it'll be fine. others say don't take the chance. So i have to side with don't take a chance 'cause the posts aren't 100%. That means there is risk.
i am getting on the horn with Cathay and see what they can do from their end. I'll let ya know.
