"The RCMP are now aiding with security at Canada's airports, which were thrown into chaos as a result of stricter security regulations in place in the wake of the attempted bombing of an airplane on Christmas Day.
About 40 officers are now working at Toronto's Pearson airport and more are on the way as a result of actions taken by Transport Minister John Baird. His chief of staff, Chris Froggatt, confirmed RCMP officers were dispatched last night. Tired of watching the long lineups and chaos at Pearson yesterday, Mr. Baird called his colleague, Public Safety Minister Peter Van Loan, and requested the back-up."
