My partner and I are heading down to AUS for the first time this Mardi Gras!

We plan on:
2/26 - 3/2 Sydney - Staying at the Cambridge - Any better suggestions?
3/2 - 3/5 Cairns
3/5 - 3/11 Melbourne (Still undecided about where will visit with our extra days - Great Ocean Road, Vineyards, etc)

Anyone taking Qantas down from NYC on the 24th?
