Precisely... TSA's solution is ridiculous. This isn't something that was discovered on the 25th., it's been known for years that this system is broken, even with post 9/11 changes that presumably make it more difficult now to smuggle in metallic weapons. It was the government's own accountability office's covert test that highlighted the situation a while back.
