Who:Aerospace engineer (satellite systems) by day, which mostly means that I go to meetings and write emails. I spend my spare time telling stories at folk festivals and in coffee houses, doing various crafts (textiles, bookbinding), solving puzzles, and dancing.

When: Made 1P in late October / early November time frame

How: Some business trips. I don't do pure MRs but I do go away for the weekend a lot. My personal rule is that I like to be somewhere at least 3 times as long as it takes going to and from there. I'm working on going to all the major league ballparks and on doing a series of walks in state capitols, so those account for a lot of the domestic weekends.

Where: A few business trips from IAD-LAX, though nothing compared to the days when I used to commute between LAX and DEN. I also had assorted transcontinental leisure trips and some shorter ones to go to baseball games. My biggest trips last year were either award trips (France and Switzerland) or on airlines other than UA (since no *A carriers go to Kiribati and the Solomon Islands and since I got a great fare on AA to LIM).

Why: Having spent way too many hours on non-UA flights this past year, I am reminded of how nice E+ is.

What: Only thing I have booked right now is a trip to Western Canada, which will include going to the Vancouver Olympics and taking the train to Jasper. But I expect a few other trips include non-work related conferences in Los Angeles and Seattle and games at the last 3 major league ballparks I haven't been to. (It would have been two, but the Twins are getting a new stadium.) I've almost decided on the Pamir Highway (Kyrgyzstand and Tajikistan) for my major trip of the year.
