The other half and her daughter are on AA 79 LHR-DFW as I write this. It apparently left hours late (the stupid check-in guy predicted 15-30 minutes!) and will obviously miss the connection to AUS, and the other 3 flights tonight are sold out. AA has them on a standby list but who knows how that will work out. There's space on the early flights tomorrow, but does anyone know if AA is picking up the Hotel bills? Or is this dumped on the passengers again?
