I originally was very antagonistic toward the FlexPerks program, but after seeing how dismally hard it is to book an award ticket with my DL miles, I decided FlexPerks isn't so bad. I especially like the feature that allows you to transfer points from one account to another without a fee, and also that you accumulate frequent flier miles with the flights books with the FP card. (Although that gets me back to accumulating those devaluaed DL miles.)

In the last half year, we've accumulated 110,000 flexperks points, and are ready to go somewhere!

I've been trying to book a ticket to LIH (Hawaii) using FP, and am having no trouble, but find the ticket is going to cost 40,000 points because the price is just over $600. Going online at AlaskaAir.com, I find that I could get an upgradeable seat for under $800 (40,000 FlexPerks points), but I don't find any way to choose my fare class (other than coach vs 1st/business) with Flex Perks points.

Is there a number to call, or some other way to choose the fare class?
