AVOID www.1855.com like the plague....read on..

www.1855.com are the worst, repear WORST online french web wine retailer.

A couple a problems:

1. They don't don't deliver the wine they promise to supply you with
2. They practice something called "short selling"
3. They promise to sell virtually every wine - but they don't have it (at the that time) hoping to buy it later cheaper - thus making a profit.
4. They are the most complained about wine retailer in France.
5. i could go on. However, i suggest you see the following links:

RECENT NEWS ARTICLE: (can be translated to via yahoo babel fish online)

Can i suggest you try "wine and co" who are backed by a much larger company (louis vitton, moet hennesy / I think) and therefore have a reputation worth protecting.

Seriously, read all the stuff above and you'll wonder how 1855.com stay in business.
