My husband and I will be in Japan in late January and a few friends recommended that we check out the Benesse Art Site on Naoshima. http://www.naoshima-is.co.jp None of my friends have actually been, and it looks like quite a trek (and an expensive overnight). Has anyone here been to Naoshima? Was it worth the trek and hotel cost? My husband loves unusual modern art, which makes me think it would be a worthwhile destination, but if it's just a silly tourist trap then we may skip it.
