This is especially a critical issue with the one hour in/out rule, since we find feeding on take-off and landing to make the baby's flight so much easier.

It doesn't need to be said again, but the terrorists have really won. It makes one wonder whether there was any real intention of a successful attack yesterday, or was the real target -- disrupting everyday life, hit square on?

We are in the same boat, will be interesting to see how Mexicana handles this situation on our return next weekend. Also enforcement of the 1-hour rule may prove counterproductive when our toddler decides he needs to go (and usually waits until the last minute).

Joining the chorus as to:

(1) 1-hour rule nonsense (this is the most absurd, the perp was sitting down when he detonated! but in any case didn't the guy have the stuff strapped to himself for the whole flight? so terrorists will now detonate over the atlantic instead, or england a la PanAm 103)
(2) 1 carry on rule (pretty sure the perp didn't have 2 nor would he need them to carry out his plan)
(3) No overhead access rule (covered above)
(4) No blanket rule (as if the perps can't figure out a way to mix everything in the bathroom)

Does the TSA pay a bonus for stupidity?

The correct response would be:

(1) Analysis of why the warning provided by the perp's father 6 months earlier was ignored?
(2) Analysis of why the perp was not on the no-fly list not to mention received a US Visa (the brits were smart enough to deny him one).
(3) Analysis of why the cash ticket purchase was not properly screened (admittedly cash transactions are the preferred method of purchase in places like Nigeria, though this ticket was purchased in Ghana).
(4) Analysis of why profiling failed at AMS and how that can be corrected.

Instead more nonsensisical rules and inconvenience for millions because one a******* lights himself up.
