It's a huge issue. I know a number of professional photographers who turned down all international assignments during the one-carry-on period post 9-11. I also traveled with thousands of dollars of photo equip during that period and it was only possible to do it when traveling with Mrs. BLG so that we could split things up -- she took the photo-carry-on and I took the carry-on with meds, etc.
