Difference Between "Air Rewards" and "Air Certificate Rewards"
If this has been covered ad nauseum, forgive me. I did a search and I didn't find anything.

In looking at the Amex. website (here) it describes both "Air Rewards" and "Air Certificate Rewards."

Is it the case that "Air Rewards" are what allow you to transfer points into an airline's ff program, and "Air Certificate Rewards" allow you to redeem a specified certificate, good for only what's available on the Amex. site?
