So is Marriott better since their pacage includes miles? SOMEONE PLEASE JUST TELL ME THE BEST DEAL OR DEALS!

My examples above with Hilton aren't a package deal - they don't involve getting airline tickets through Hilton. Take this one (since you now know what the !%!$% a GLON2 is):

For 235K MR points, you can get a get a category 5 Hilton (which should be comparable to a level 5 Marriott) for 7 nights (a GLON2 at 150K HHonors points + one extra night at 35K), plus 142,500 miles. </font>
The above requires 185,000 HHonors points, which equals 92,500 Hawaiian miles, which equals 92,500 MR points. It's taken me anywhere from 8-12 days to transfer from MR-&gt;HA-&gt;HH. Now you have to do HA to HH transfers in blocks of 5,000 HA miles, but for arguement's sake, let's say you can transfer the 2,500 mile odd lot just for this example (since with two such awards it comes out to a multiple of 5,000).

235,000 - 92,500 still leaves you with 142,500 MR points, which you can transfer to one of 11 airline programs and get your own tickets.

The Marriott package gives you more domestic options as to which airline you want the miles on. But if you can use the miles on an MR airline partner, you'll come out ahead going the Hilton route.
