CNN turns Christmas Day terrorist attempt into something political
One of CNN's security correspondents was just criticizing TSA for not quickly announcing any new changes due to this latest terrorism attempt. Her comparison? Well, she went off on how TSA was very "proud" that it limited liquids just 12 hours after the foiled liquids attack several years ago. So now she's criticizing (instead of just reporting, of course) TSA for not making a swift policy change.
What change does she want TSA to make? To prohibit explosive devices?
But then she got political. She pointed out that during the Bush administration, the idea of TSA unionizing was highly discouraged by the government by pointing out that it would have been impossible for TSA to have made that liquid-limit decision so quickly if TSA had been unionized because it would taken a lot longer than 12 hours to get such a new policy ratified by the union.
The anchorman agreed with everything she said, egging her on by criticizing the "vacuum" of info from TSA at this time.
Hey, I'm no Bush apologist (far from it). But using the attempted crashing of a commercial jet to take a cheap shot at Bush is uncalled for.
