Well this does mean less comp upgrades at check-in for diamonds for the properties that still do it depending on when you check in.
This offer combined with the confirmed diamond upgrades will make it very hard to get check-in upgrades at the properties that upgrade a diamond based on the fact that you frequently stay there.
After reading in a previous post that someone used a diamond upgrade in Vancouver, which really doesn't even have suites, I am thinking that the inventory of suites could really dry up. I have Hyatts that I do a lot of business at over the year and the hotel really wants to upgrade me when I am there but they must wait until I check-in.
