There are a few excellent choices for you. Lincoln is about a mile in from the beach, but one of the finest steakhouses in all of LA county. However it's been a couple of years since I was there last and someone said it might be closed?

Then there is Bandera, which is even further inland near Brentwood on Wilshire by the 405. Has a great crowd. But the closest to the beach is Houstons. Not as good as the others, but closest to the beach and still a fun place.
