I could write a little book about luggage, like my first luggage set received for high school graduation: red American Tourister hardshell. Seems like ancient history. Or the denim Boyt that traveled around the world with me three times when I lived in Australia and South Africa. The Hartmann nylon and vinyl carry-ons that went to every island in Micronesia, and many many other places. My idea of a fun time is visiting luggage storesand I can pass hours looking at ebags.com and similar. But I'm not nearly the expert that many who frequent this board are.

Thanks for the compliment.
Color me impressed! You have more luggage and travel experience than I do by miles, literally. It would be a fantastic afternoon for me to raid a luggage store with oldpenny and Dianne. They could just hand us the keys. I bet their customers would have never felt so well advised.

Actually, I think it would make sense to have a store where you only sell tried and true products. The top two or three bags in each category, no matter which brand. But with big brands like BR and Tumi that is certainly not possible and small competitors like Redoxx and Bihn would probably not agree to be sold in the same store, either.
