For me it took about 2 minutes for one of two award KE bookings to ticket and about a month (I am not exhaggerating) for the other, identical to the first. I called many times, was told that the ticket was put at the "front of the ticketing list" and that "it is not possible to talk to ticketing, they do not have phones," but still it was never ticketed until some 29 days later. This was back in August/September. So, it seems to be a common, yet random, occurance.
