I have to make a last minute trip and may have to settle for the standard economy award, but since it's the same price for saver first, I've been trying to find a way to get that.

The outbound is no problem: it's available as a United metal flight.

I've used the ANA tool and the US Airways site and have found a flight on US that works for the return, but a call (actually 2 since I was hung up on) and lots of waiting got the response that there was no US availability. Is there any trick to checking what will be available as a UA award?
