Stayed here 2 weeks ago for the weekend. Got a great rate ($79) and was put on club floor in a typical king room. Nothing spectacular, nothing horrible. Club lounge closed on weekends, so we were given breakfast coupons. I thought the buffet was find - scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, nice pancakes, really good roasted red potatoes, pastries.
Parking is expensive (about $25 per night) but this hotel is easy to drive to and the metro is right around the corner to get into DC. The area around the hotel is basically other large hotels, although we did see some restaurants driving in we ate all meals (except breakfast) in DC. I have had issues with my plat amenity points posting at recent hotels and had to call SPG to get them to post for this stay.
I would say we found this stay to be "fine" for the price paid, and would stay here again.
