There is also a bus that leaves from Grand Central (i.e. outside just south of Grand Central on South Park Avenue).

I have never taken it so don't know the service that runs it, but walked by many times and if you are on the east side it is a bit easier to get to. I usually spring for a car service myself though as I don't like the hassle.
