I talked to a non-FT SPG Platinum tonight here at the Westin AKL who got the same email. He called the hotel and was told it's $80 a night for an upgrade to a club floor room. He didn't say how much a suite was but I assume much more.
It does sound like there will be a lot of us there over the holiday... hope to meet some of you in the lounge!
