Sorry to be blunt but the message I got so far is: "we have upgraded rooms to sell to you but if you don't pay you'll get nothing".

I have informed the property on the comments posted here. But I would have to leave the decision to the property on whether they should follow up with an email to explain further.
Personally, I would not even try making any suggestions from my end to a property because the last time I took up an initiative to do that to another property it did not work, only to get myself into hot soup instead.
