I got caught in the weather this week in Washington DC - fortunatley I have Platinum status and lots of miles - I was able to get a room in DC at the Crystal City Gateway - well I checked in - concierge lounge is closed for (2) weeks for the holidays - no offering of anything in the evening and all I got in the morning in their cafe was a bowl of cereal and 2 pieces of toast

I have been caught over the Memorial Day in St. Louis - stayed at the Airport Renaissance and their Concierge lounge was closed - they gave me a full meal in their lounge in the evening and a full breakfast buffett in the morning.^

Seems like the Grinch has taken residence at the Crystal City Marriott! I have always stayed at this Marriott = now I am looking to go elsewhere - Beware - very noisey during the day - they are remodeling the place.
