I'm doing a MR and meeting my cousin in late January at LAX. I've got about 3 hours and 45 minutes of layover, so I should have no problem grabbing some dinner. Looking for a restaurant recommendation in Santa Monica. Keep in mind I don't eat seafood and I'm a carnivore. Beachfront would be preferred, but not a necessity.

Anyway, if you are going into Santa Monica, it would really depend on what kind of food you like. Trastevere is a rather decent Italian restaurant on the 3rd Street Promenade, especially for individual pizzas. The famous Border Grill is located on 4th Street, just east of the Promenade. They do higher end Mexican food. I loved Riva on Wilshire, but they are not Fraiche, which also has an excellent reputation. They do a Southern France/Tuscan fusion that has plenty of things to satisfy a "carnivore."
