Unfortunately, you cannot upgrade *A flights with US miles as US does not participate in the *A upgrade program.

You are *G so you at least get lounge access on your trip, You are certainly higher on the list than non-status passengers for op-ups if procedures are followed but you are right in that it's not likely to happen.
