Police were called in to help handle an angry crowd of Delta customers at New York JFK this afternoon, The Associated Press reports. AP writes: "When asked what happened at the terminal Tuesday, Delta Air Lines spokeswoman Susan Elliott said a number of people whose flight to Haiti was canceled in Sunday's storm have been trying to get to Port-Au-Prince on standby but haven't been having any luck. She says they'll all be placed on a new Wednesday flight that was added Tuesday. Elliott says the decision to add a flight was not related to any disruption at the airport." Fox News of New York describes the crowd as "out of control." Fox adds New York's "Newsday cited a source as saying the problems started when a flight to Haiti was overbooked." A spokesman for the Port Authority, which runs JFK, says the incident was brought under control within an hour.
