Question Advice - *A to OW SIN MCT, transit desk, interline baggage check

OK, I tried to make the thread title as descriptive as possible. A bit of background is in order.

This travel occurs in March, 2010. I have a SIN-MLE r/t award ticket on SQ during my first AONE3 Asia stopover at SIN. On the return I am traveling MLE-SIN-HKG-LHR, with the first leg on SQ and the remaining legs part of my AONE3 which commenced a few weeks earlier in ICN.

I need to stop in HKG to ticket my ACIR26 which will commence after I finish my AONE3 when I return to ICN in December, 2010. In December 2010 I will be doing a stopover in HKG, which is the 2nd and last stopover allowed in Asia on my Asia originating AONE3. I could wait until December and ticket my ACIR26 then, but I don't want to chance ex-HKG fares going up in June like fares have done the last couple years, so this is the reason I plan to stop in HKG and hence the MLE-SIN-HKG-LHR routing.

OK... my choices are as follows:

Code:
SQ 451
Depart: MLE Tuesday, 3/16/10 11:25 PM
Arrive: SIN Wednesday, 3/17/10 7:05 AM

                                    CX 710 -or- CX 736
Depart: SIN Wednesday, 3/17/10 8:05 AM -or- 10:10 AM
Arrive: HKG Wednesday, 3/17/10 11:55 AM -or- 2:05 PM

CX 255
Depart: HKG Thursday, 3/18/10 1:00 AM
Arrive: LHR Thursday, 3/18/10 6:20 AM
My preference is to take the earlier SIN-HKG connection as it would allow me the most time in HKG, get ticketed and then get more sleep at the Renaissance Harbour View Hotel (located in the same building as the Walshe Group - AA GSR). The later connection would be safer from a SIN connection perspective, but I would lose about 4 hours of sleep time in Hong Kong. So the underlying question about taking the earlier connection.

1. At SIN, is an hour connection to get CX 710 enough time? Am I within the accepted MCT?

2. I assume I can check my bags through to LHR when I check in with SQ in MLE - looking for opinions, reassurances, or warnings about this.

3. At SIN, I understand that I just go to the transit desk to get my boarding passes for my CX flights. I assume there is a F check-in line and that this would not take long. Is an hour connection time sufficient for this to occur? Again opinions, reassurances, or warnings about this are welcomed.

Thanks in advance for everyone's help.
