Here's some not so good pictures I took with my Droid, with flash and without flash - hard to see anything, but the one on the left is my old one with beveled edges, the center one does not have a beveled edge, the one on the right is my biz card:
Does it have to do with a different manufacturing location or batch of your new card?
What is the manufacture country and date on the two personal cards (the "old" one and the "new" one)? It's in the top-right corner, on the back of the card.
