I think I've also had problems with
checkmytrip, but one can definitely access bookings through
Manage My Booking using the AA PNR. I do that routinely.

To answer some question. It's a confirmed booking, not on hold. It's an AA flight (AA108), and I booked it via AA.com. I'm not a member of AAdvantage, but I am of BA's Executive Club, altough BA wasn't involved in this booking. So I am trying to acces the booking via the Manage my Trip / View Reservations tool at AA.com (the European / Dutch version of it).
It sounds like there may be no "operated by BA" legs on this itinerary. That could prevent access via
Manage My Booking. I've only tried with itineraries that have BA flights, even if booked under the AA flight number, and have had no problems.
