Last year I was flying through DFW and a freak snowstorm hit. We spent about 5 hours on the tarmac waiting to deice. Now, most other flights that had pushed back when we had ended up canceled and those passengers stranded overnight on their own dime. Our plane got to its destination, albeit very late. Had this law been in place then, that wouldn't have happened.
