The Centurion card does not provide credit facilities any greater than the Platinum card: they'll have run a credit check on you before and will have plenty of their own data from your account. All the Centurion card gives you over and above any other Amex card is a different colour piece of plastic, a few perks and a higher fee.

So why should they need a credit check at all?
