Well I had allowed myself to be a cheap SOB and had not joined AMEX personally or through my company. My first major credit card was AMEX in 1989 when I was in college. I was so disappointed when they notified me about 18 months later that they had "made a mistake" and realized that "although I was credit-worthy, my financial condition did not qualify me for American Express - feel free to apply again in the future." I remember feeling like a reject having AMEX call and request that I destroy my card because I was broke college student.

12 years later I've finally re-applied and it seems like a good program. I enrolled my business in the AMEX Corporate Card program and ordered cards for my key employees and directors. Then while I was on the phone with AMEX this afternoon, they told me about the features of platinum, so I took the bait and upgraded.

I've been reading all of the historical AMEX Plat posts to find all of the unique features and benefits, however I have not found a summary thread. You know, the list of un-official benefits that are not listed on the AMEX website. Any links would be great - Ken.
