By the way, I note you say "the choice of legacy DL systems"? It was my understanding that they got rid of the SkyMiles systems in favor of the WorldPerks system, hence the inability to post miles and MQMs promptly, and the horribly messed-up display of mileage on Delta.com (yes, I know that NWA.COM offers a somewhat better display - Delta used to have a VERY ORGANIZED, EASY TO USE display though!)
Keep in mind DL.com was missing a lot of features that NW (and other legacies like CO) have had for years. The more features you add the trickier it is to keep the display clean. I ding DL.com for use of flash when it doesn't need it.

I've thought they should use the CO cart service. Which uses a fancy restaurant style open frame cart. There is definite presentation of the meal.
