I can just say: COPA and Aero República are neither *members nor affiliated to M&M, while their holding company Continental became a full member some time ago.
SQ's subsidiary Silk Air isn't a *member, nor is LH's subsidiary Air Dolomiti.

It simply depends on the contracts...
