Did a little experimenting.
Wouldn't let me use the 30% off coupon for the 2006 Robert Mondavi Winery Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon. Hmmph.
But could use it on the Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc, the highly-rated (by Consumer Reports) wine sold at Costco for $12.99. This brings the per-bottle cost (before tax) to $16.05. So you pay an extra $3.06 per bottle to get the miles, which works out to $.0044/mile.
As someone pointed out, a pricier pick would lower the cpm by spreading the hefty shipping charge over a larger amount.
Let's find the best premium wine that still takes a coupon.
