So I'm taking a quick sameday DL 2 segment run and the lead segment is already overbooked.

Any chance or history of getting flight credit for a voluntary bump in lieu of some or all of the compensation?
I'm not really concerned about the compensation (it'd be nice but), it'd really be worth it just to get the 2 segments and 1K mileage credit and skip the flying altogether.

If I were bumped, I'd miss the return segment, though I could catch the last return flight of the night, but that's the limit of the flexibility I have.
