I agree with those who say don't join the club. It's not a good deal, and in my view, it's a way to pass off less than stellar wines to people who don't know much about wines and are experimenting and trying to learn. I have yet to run into a wine club that I don't think is evil.
I've used Hartwick a number of times, including this past October, when I thought I was making out like a bandit @ 30 miles per $1. I bought the 2007 Nobilo Pinor Noir Marlborough, and it is fantastic. ^
I think I'm going to make a huge purchase here in a day or two and see if they can hold the order a few months, since I'd only use ground shipping and don't like my wines to freeze. Got my eye on some '97 Mondavi Cab reserve.

The NZ Pinots are a deal and getting better every year. The 97 should be holding well. I just cracked a 95 Res. and shall I say, it wasn't getting any better. wj
