My reaction: It's better than a sharp stick in the eye, but unless someone's planning to sock away a heckuva lot of booze or flies A LOT, I can't imagine it's something I'd pay for.
To each his own. Get delayed in EWR it's nice to have somewhere else to ride out the time, a free drink or two (or 10) won't hurt.
Fly red-eyes back to Houston from California, nice to get a shower in IAH before a full day in the office.
For me, easy to justify the expense.
