Maybe it's a consultant who works for both Choice and HHonors? Too many emails earlier this year at HHonors about "we gave you these points in error" and "we took back these points that we gave you in error" and it turned out the error was in taking back the points, because they weren't all in error after all!
(In other words, Choice isn't the only one with errnoneous emails about what you got this year.)
