I won't fly TPAC BF till a couple months, but this surely doesn't match my TATL (EWR based) BF flight experience either.
I personally like the american style more hands off service, than the intensive questioning kind of the asian carriers(just a preference I know others like the other just fine!)
I am perfectly comfortable with the casual style of American service, but I have to say that at its best I truly feel that my BF TATL experiences on CO have matched the best service I have received on any airline.
This past summer I took a GVA-EWR (6D) in which the service was friendly, professional, caring, efficient, fun, just terrific. In some ways I prefer this type of service to the more formal, somewhat obsequious service one can receive on a number of international carriers.
