UA indeed has a superior hard-product, but LH's ground service (especially the breakfast buffet) is so stellar I would go with LH if I had the choice.

But even if UA and LH could work out a deal so that UA's international First Class passengers would have access to the FCLs or FCT, I would likely still choose LH because I can upgrade Z-fares on LH.
