I usually don't mind if I'm asked. What gets me is when someone assumes I don't mind sitting in a last row window seat. After a long day of flying a month or so ago this old guy was in my seat sitting next to a highly overdone lady who looked like an escort or drag queen. I mentioned it was my seat and he said it was his now in a sarcastic tone. I had it and let him have it. He even acted like a hot shot when ordering drinks and treated the FA like crap. After my little chat with him he almost ran off the plane. Of course I'm 6'3" Broad shouldered redneck looking guy. I don't know why some people feel so entitled, it's Domestic US Airways FC after all!
It was a delayed flight that started boarding earlier than expected. I arrived at my seat to find that a family of four had moved in. Up until this day FC had been fairly empty judging by seat maps.
The guy did not even ask me to move, he just ASSSUMED that I would take his window seat. When I challenged it, I got the lack of compassion looks from the wife... Since it was Christmas I caved, but it really annoys me that people are so disrespectful.
I was angry and did make sure that they knew they were in the wrong.
