My question is... How often do SWUs clear if you are on the waitlist? Is there anyway to know what the odds are? I am willing to do a different routing JFK-DFW-EZE or JFK-MIA-EZE if it would increase my odds, but the agent just said that I'd be waitlisted on those routes too. Anyone with several years of EXP want to share her/his experience?

Thanks!
the chances are good that they will clear. However, it is ultimately impossible to know, esp. since you didn't mention when you are flying. IME, SWUs that are waitlisted well in advance to a location that isn't hosting a major event clear. As someone else noted, get a subscription to Expertflyer, it will at least allow you to make a educated decision re: what dates to travel
