It is awkward to determine whether you have received the 5,000 EQM bonus from Visa Mileagel Plus.

First, look at your EQMs for the year.

Second, subtract the EQMs that are from DEQM bonuses during the year

Third, subtract the EQM bonus attributable to "class of service"

Fourth, subtract any carryover of EQM from 2008

After you have reduced your year-to-date EQMs as detailed above, you should have an unidentified 5,000 EQMs included in your remaining EQMs if you charged $5,000 on United.com.

Determine the dollar amount you charged to your visa card through purchases made on United.com. If you charged the maximum of $5,000 on the visa card during the year, you should have received the 5,000 EQMs. This 5,000 is the unidentified amount discussed above.

However, it is easier to call MP or Chase and confirm with them the dollar amount credited to your EQMs for the year.

If you do not agree with what you are told from MP or Chase you can go through the above exercise and call them back if you can confirm a discrepancy.
