Why don't they put enough fuel on the plane to anticipate ATC delays?
Last night, I was on a flt from PHL to FLL that was delayed after takeoff due to weather. Thirty minutes after the scheduled arrival time in FLL, we landed in Palm Beach because we were running low on fuel. Our arrival was over two and a half hours late - mostly due to the refueling stop.
Does anyone know - is it SOP to only put "just enough" fuel on the plane?
