A FT member was kind enough to PM regarding flying to MNL.

I hope it doesn't offend this FT member if I post their message here. I think others could find it very useful too.
Your choices from Seattle are limited to:
EVA airlines flying through Taipei and Asiana flying through Seoul....
Based on the current political climate in Seoul, I chose to fly through Taipei this past November.
I paid about $672.00 RT
Booked directly through EVA's website.

I have flown SEA - LAX to HKG to MNL.. but based on the fact that Cathay from LAX flies right back up the west coast and out over Alaska I can't see flying south to fly back north again.

Once on American and Cathay, once on Alaska and Cathay, once on China Air (no longer providing service from Seattle); once on Asiana, and once on EVA.
I tend to book whoever's got the cheapest airfare.
