I know I'm not the only FTers to have suggested the notion shortly after the Obama Administration took office that reforming or abolishing the TSA would not be very high up on the priority list in the grand scheme of things. We even asserted that the TSA wouldn't be very high up on Nappy's priority list because she would have border security and fixing FEMA as her top priorities.
We concluded that the only way for the TSA to rise to the top of the list would be for them to do something really stupid and self-destruct. I'm not posting this to say "I told you so." I'm writing to thank the TSA for not disappointing us.
I was one of those who had hoped that the administration would tackle the TSA soon after taking office and was disappointed, but at the same time understanding, about why it didn't happen.
I'm not humble like Flies - I'll say that I was one of those who, many years ago before Obama, predicted that the TSA would collapse upon itself from sheer incompetence, so I echo his thanks.
